The difference between being a good pizza operation and a great pizza operation is learning how to aggressively market your restaurant 365 days of each year! That’s where a good marketing plan comes in. Begin with a good list of potential customers. If you deliver, you already have a list. If you don’t, start building one now.

Statistics show that four out of 10 people who buy pizza will purchase times a three month, 27 percent of these people will buy twice a month and 33 percent will buy once a month. Now think about it, the habits of these individuals will not change unless you give them a reason to change, and to do that consistently you must automate the process of marketing your pizzeria.

John McNulty, Shakey’s Pizza licensee in El Monte, California is a great example. McNulty’s family has owned and operated the Shakey’s Pizza restaurant since 1964. “I purchased the restaurant from my father in 1989. We weren’t able to stretch our marketing dollars and were buying fewer ads. But all that has changed,” John says. “We have lots on the horizon such as our Uniform Day event. We’ve invited recruiters from all the armed services as well as the local fire and police departments. They will each set up recruiting stations in our parking lot. We’re advertising through the local high schools.”

LET EMPLOYEES DO YOUR MARKETING
Next to email and other personalized direct marketing, door hanging is by far the most effective and inexpensive way that you can distribute marketing materials. Door hanging needs to be planned in every market segment around your restaurant. Systematically cover all of the zip codes in the one to three mile radius around your restaurant, and track the results of this activity. Pay your marketing individuals or drivers based on their results. Each marketing piece needs to have an expiration date and a way to identify which employee distributed it.

The missing link is the ability to execute. Pizzeria owners’ time is filled with urgent tasks and decisions, tasks that take away the time for organized and consistent marketing. That is why a good marketing software program is so important. Set up each marketing campaign in the software, and let the software do most of the work.

Parker Greenman of Papa Leos understands the importance of marketing software. “There’s no magic cure that will bring people through your doors, but with a little extra effort I’m already seeing some great things happening,” says Parker. In February, Parker held a successful Valentine’s Day coloring contest. Preceding the contest, his employees personally handed every child that came in a form and an invitation to participate in the contest. Parker also dropped off the forms at local schools, where several grades participated as a class. The response was amazing.

He continues, “We got tons of new customers from that one campaign alone.” Even after including the cost of the pizzas, this type of marketing is extremely profitable. Parker has also seen dozens of new customers come to his stores through an employee challenge program that he developed. After printing up $3 discount certificates, Parker challenged his employees to give them to friends and acquaintances. The certificates say, “You have a friend at Papa Leo’s” and have a space for the employee to sign his/her name. The contest is a race to see which employee gets the most certificates redeemed within a three-week period. That employee will win a crisp $100 bill.

If you are managing a business, for a small or a relatively larger organization, then you would need to take help from management consulting firms to define and achieve your organizational goals. Management consultants are professionals who manage the client organizations and help them achieve their goals by better utilization of organizational resources. They start by analyzing the different processes and identify problems, if any. They help the organization to implement the recommended changes. They do charge a fee but their fundamental concern is the betterment of the client organization.

Management consultants either work on their own or they may be working with management consulting firms with a larger support base. There are consultants specialized in various areas including research and development, human resource management, manufacturing processes, sales and marketing, administration, and so on.

When Do You Need To Hire Management Consultants

There are various occasions on which the management of the organization may feel the need to hire management consulting professionals. Some of them are listed below:

* Management of the organization has identified the problems within the various processes and feels that the performance can be enhanced if these problems are solved. But they lack the specialized knowledge and skills to do so.
* Management of the organization is highly qualified to deal with the problems at hand, but do not want to devote time for solving such problems rather start thinking about the larger picture.
* Management has already implemented the solutions but they have not produced the desired improvements.
* Sometimes, it is better to take the third party advice on the decisions that the management has taken.

If you feel your organization is going through any of the above problems, you need to take help from management consulting professionals. Generally, the main job of a management consultant is to identify the inherent problems and mark the opportunities. If you feel that the consultant is able to offer you support in these two, then you should hire one.

How To Find A Competent Management Consultant

There are many dedicated management consulting firms that can help you select the right consultant. You can interview the recommended candidates and short list two or three of them. For short listing you can choose those who have earlier worked with firms with similar problems that you have mentioned for your organization. Then you can choose the best one depending upon his or her ability to make things work and ideas click. It also helps the candidate to have good listening skills as that is how they are going to learn about your organization¡¯s problems. He or she should have ability to complete the assignments on time and within the budgetary restrictions.

After the selection of the right management consulting professional, the next step is to provide him or her all the support and resources he or she needs in implementing his ideas or recommendations. Each and every member of the organization should be supportive enough to offer him all the information and help that he needs. Review the implementation process closely and provide necessary feedback when needed. For the beneficial outcome of hiring a consultant, the situation of the organization should be clearly defined to him initially. Do not forget to make an agreement for scope of work, fee,s and responsibilities of the consultant.

Nowadays technology has become an integral part of any business. The rapid advancement of technology has benefitted the business concerns on one hand, and at the same time exposed them to various insecurities. The increased vulnerabilities and high percentage of risk factors have led the business organizations to adopt executive bodies. Executive management stands at the forefront providing the necessary protection.

Earlier most of the business concerns used to employ a centralized computing system. Shifting from centralized to distributed computing environments in recent times, the companies have become susceptible towards data loss, privacy violations, financial loses and various other risks related to security matters at large. Information security has therefore become a major priority for the business households. Under such circumstances the induction of highly efficient executive management body has become indispensable.

Business organizations are intensively focusing on security factors. To enforce discipline and to implement secured infrastructures companies are calling upon executive management. The management body not only has to establish security infrastructures within the organizations, but also recommend, implement and develop adequate measures to keep securities unhindered.

Executive management is primarily the role of the chief security officers of any business enterprise. Combining the role of the chief security officers with anyone else might lead to disagreement leaving the security matters unresolved. Therefore for any business concern it is immensely important to decide who should be responsible for handling security, because only an expert and skilled management body can assure security of an entire business organization.

Having assigned the responsibility to the suitable person for enforcing securities, implanting the concept of security within the entire organization is the next important thing .In order to implement maximum effectiveness, all the components of the security should be integrated within the organization. Executive management should therefore come up with policies and procedures conveying the flow of responsibilities.

Depending upon the acceptances, the policies and procedures are documented. Again it is the responsibility of the executive management body to carry out the policies. Spreading awareness throughout the organization and promoting effective security measures marks the role of a good executive management.

In order to provide strong security, executive management body should consider delivering security awareness training. Often lack of attention and mistakes are leading causes behind security breaches. To minimize or rather eliminate errors executive management body should monitor the policies and procedures thereby identifying the reasons behind such mistakes.

Security being the most vital factor, even the non technical organizations is implementing security measures. It is the responsibility of the executive management to initiate and develop security measures. Therefore executive management can facilitate an effective secured infrastructure.

3D architecture interior modeling is an essential part of any Architecture project. Whether it is an industrial building, commercial building or residential building, 3D architecture interior modeling plays an important role to make it better and effective. Accurate 3D architecture interior models are therefore highly preferred in Architecture Industry.

Basically 3D architecture interior modeling is a sub part of 3D architecture modeling. Here main aim is to develop accurate 3D interior models of building structure. How your building’s interior will look, what to change and what not to change, what should be done to make it better – all these queries are obvious when you are planning to construct a building. 3D architecture interior modeling thoroughly clarifies all these above mentioned queries in the form of 3D interior architecture models.

As mentioned, 3D architecture interior modeling gives accurate 3D interior models of building. These models play a role of a template design of proposed building. According to this, one can easily visualize whole building interiors concepts and can plan decent construction techniques. Also if some changes are required, then modification can be done quite easily as per requirements to get best feasible solutions.

3D architecture interior modeling is a specialized part of architecture industry and requires expert professionals to perform it properly. 3D interior modeling experts have thorough knowledge of 3D architectural modeling and have proficiency in using latest 3D interior modeling software. With such knowledge and proficiency, they can give accurate most 3D architecture interior models as per latest modern terminologies.

3D architecture interior modeling has wide range of utilities. It is very useful in 3D interior rendering, 3D interior designing, 3D max interior design, 3D furniture modeling, 3D office interior modeling and many more.

“Shop drawings” is a very popular term in Building Construction Industry today. Reason is quite clear – so many utilities and wide range of applications. Swiftness and accuracy is what matters today in this highly competitive building construction industry. Shop drawings are therefore so useful these days, because they give quick and accurate outputs for your business.

What are shop drawings- A common question that is bound to rise in anyone’s mind. Well, shop drawings are collection of accurate drawings of pre-fabricated components of buildings. These drawings are widely used by builders, contractors, designers and architects. With the help of such drawings, they can remove their headache and can more effectively concentrate on their core building construction activities.

As mentioned, pre-fabricated components are covered in shop drawings. Arrangements of these components are very important as far as construction of building is concerned. Some of the pre-fabricated components of buildings are as follow:
• Steel elevators
• Steel trusses
• Pre-cast components
• Steel structure
• Wooden windows
• Cabinets and millwork

Shop drawings deeply explain important information about above mentioned components. Also they make your mind clear about what component to use in how much amount in certain parts of building. Information that these shop drawings provide contain dimensional specifications, measures of components and clear calculation based on required plans. As a building professional, this is what you want to effectively and easily construct your proposed building structure in quick time.

Also shop drawings can provide vital details about sheet metal ductwork, plumbing, fire protection, piping and electrical components specifications. With so many utilities and usefulness, it is obvious that shop drawings are surely the most useful term in building construction industry.

Today the world is fast changing from the machine age to the technology age, and as time change, people have become more busy than usual and are almost cut out from the manual labor. Not only that they do not find the time to meet their minor but important priorities in life especially their personal matters. Many would agree that today time has become one of the most precious items to waste. People spend most of their days making their living, and find almost no time to relax and enjoy the fruits of his labor. Such activities complicate life causing stress.

Busy schedules restrict individuals to give proper and quality time to, their friends and family. Overtime and extended hours are common in most professions, which cut down personal time to enjoy those activities that bring pleasure and relaxation in their lives.

One solution to overcome busy corporate schedules is outsourcing or hiring corporate concierge. The advantages outsourcing is fast becoming a common topic of conversation in the business world, it is no wonder that corporate concierge and Personal Assistant services are in great demand.

A corporate concierge service allows businesses to delegate their to-do list to their very own Personal Assistant who is highly experienced in handling a diverse range of tasks.

The projects and businesses of the corporate world need to be as competitive and efficient as possible during an economic downturn. Hiring or keeping highly qualified staff like an experienced Personal Assistant or personal concierge is almost very difficult despite the fact that it could make a substantial difference to the business, which is why outsourcing sometimes provides the perfect solution.
A corporate concierge company will provide access to an outstandingly high level of organizational expertise that may not be available in-house. The reason is that the service is offered on an as-and-when basis, there are no recruitment costs or employer’s contributions to worry about. The services offered usually include diary management; managing travel schedules; preparing presentations and proposals; sourcing and interviewing services providers; managing office relocations and many more.

One big advantage of using a corporate concierge service is that they are operated by personnel that have been in the business for many years and have built up an enormous contact network. This means that even the impossible can be organized at the last minute, if necessary, and that businesses have access to competitive deals and last-minute solutions.

There are numerous advantages involved in outsourcing to a corporate concierge or virtual Personal Assistant service and businesses that wish to stay ahead of the competition and survive the economic downturn would do well to employ their services.

An ezine is an electronic newsletter article published on the internet that can help you get prospective customers to your site. Ezines market your internet business in two different ways. By writing articles about your product or service and publishing them on a variety of free websites you can get new leads. A link to your website included in the article will attract interested buyers right to you. Ezines are essentially free marketing for your product or service, plus the format of a news type article that is published on the web can have a lot bigger impact on a buyer than a paid commercial.

There are many different websites that consist of articles on a broad variety of topics. Ezinearticle.com by itself has more than 200,000 contributing authors and here you can add your article or utilize their free material on your website. Choosing ezines that link into your home based business is a way to draw more people to your website. For instance, if you sell roses, you might want to post an ezine on your website about the top occasions to send flowers. Or you may want to post an ezine about what sending different colored roses mean. Someone searching the web for that information hits on the article on your website and then orders red roses from you to show their passionate love.

One big benefit of using ezines to help promote your business is that you are able to target people who have already expressed an interest in your type of business. By searching for information on a particular topic they find the ezine article which then leads them to you. This is a more effective way of generating leads than sending out a mass email. The ezines can also help you improve the search engine ranking for your website further promoting your home business.

If you are not sure what to write in the articles about your business there are a number of online publishing companies that can help you for a small fee. They use professional writers to generate the material and will even submit the article for publication to a number of different sites on your behalf.

There are many different ways to find the best legitimate home based business these days. Some may stumble across it while searching online for a new job. Others many be persuaded to attend a meeting or home party by a friend, co-worker or family member. Which ever way it is, a home-based business is becoming more main stream then ever. There are 6 easy steps to follow when trying to find the best legitimate home based business.

1. What does the Founder of the home-based business have to hide?

Once you find the best legitimate home based business that you think you can call home. You should do extensive research on that opportunity. I repeat, “Do extensive research.” The first task should be a background check on the owner and company. The easiest way to do this would be a simple Google search. Start out by typing “owner name SCAM” or “company name SCAM” (make sure you use the “”). The reason you are doing a search is to find out if your new boss has experience with integrity. Some red flags would be Attorney General Lawsuits, frozen accounts, past negligent acts or a large amount of complaints online all saying the same thing. These searches will save you from years of failure and frustration. Other ways to search for content is scammer websites. Some examples are SCAM.com, FDI.com or the FTC’s main website. On these sites look for the opportunity you are researching. Then once you find it. See what people are saying about the owner, company and training. Now remember it has to be a large amount of the same complaints.

Once you finish the first search. Then proceed to look at the owners past work history. Ask yourself these questions when looking at the owner of the company. “Did he start his career as a rep?” “Did he work his way up the ladder of success?” You are going to want an owner who has been involved with building a downline in the past. Most owners these days have only managed companies and have never been in the trenches. If they don’t have an experience in building a downline, how will they know what you need to be successful? This is like taking your car to get its oil changed by a Dentist. So make sure when you look at business opportunities the owners meets your qualifications.

2. What I need to know about Comp Plans

Compensation Plans can either be your best friend or your worst nightmare. Most distributors don’t take the time to understand compensation plans before they join a new online business opportunity. They just jump right in and think a little hard work will do. This action usually comes back to haunt them. When looking at a compensation. plan; first understand what needs to be done in order to qualify for a pay check. How many hoops and loops do you have to jump through? This could mean the number of sign ups, the amount of product or service sold, or a combination of both. Here is an example. Company A: A distributor needs to sign up 3 distributors and sell 300 points of product or service to qualify for a check. With this company if you do one but not the other. You will never receive a paycheck. You must do both in the same week or month to qualify. Now if for some reason one of your distributors drops out. Now you are under 3. Guess what, you don’t qualify. On the other hand there is Company B. In Company B: a distributor doesn’t have a recruiting requirement and gets paid for every product or service sold. Here there are less hoops to jump through. This company will pay you for what is sold. Also when you decide to recruit, it will be a bonus. Company B’s compensation plan pays the part timers and allows them to be more successful.

3. What Training?

The third category to look at is the training. Does the new online business opportunity you are evaluating have great training? Now when you hear the word training, I do not mean getting your friends and family, buying leads, or telling everyone 3 feet from you about your business. This may work for some, but the majority will fail using these techniques. The training that I am talking about is SE0 optimization, article writing, press release marketing, and blogging. Once you master these techniques, leads will be calling you. This is the type of training that will give you success and longevity in this industry. It will allow you to brand yourself and create authority on the web.

4. The Company!

The fourth category to look at when choosing a new online business opportunity is the company’s origin. Knowing when the company started, how long it’s been around, and how many pushes of momentum it’s gone through is crucial in your success. I recommend that a distributor never get involved with a pre-launched company. Yeah it’s great you get in on the ground floor. However, a new online business opportunity will go through a lot of growth problems in the beginning. This can cause a lot of problems for distributors and customers. Also most companies fail before the two year mark. Vice versa, I also don’t recommend getting involved with a company that is over six years old. The time to be a top earner has come and gone. The company has gone through most if not all of their pushes of momentum. Look at company like they are a hill. You want to position yourself right before the incline. This way you can ride all of the pushes of momentum to the top. Most top earners join a company between two and fives years old.

5. We have products or services?

The fifth category to look at is the products or services a company sells or offers. Here be on the look out for over saturation of products or services in the market place. It will be extremely hard to be successful with a market full of products that are a variant of yours. Look for companies that have unique products or services. This will offer less competition and easier position in the market place. Then determine if the product or service would sell without a business opportunity attached. If the products/services would not sell without an opportunity attach, it’s probably not a good idea to join. After weighing all of the positives and negatives of the product/service, you will know if you can be successful or not.

6. Upline support, what’s that!

The last category I judge the best legitimate home based business on is upline support. For a newbie, this is very important. Your upline should be knowledgeable and a leader that takes action, someone that can answer your questions and steer you in the right direction. Without this person, you will have to figure everything out on your own. This will mean years of trail and error. Make sure you pick the right person, because they will be your business partner, mentor, and friend for life. Here’s to your success.

xA safer British pint glass is being developed by designers in an effort to solve the big problem of glasses being used in violent assaults. On behalf of the Design and Technology Alliance Against Crime, the Design Council has appointed Design Bridge to create an alternative pint glass to help reduce the number of injuries from the 87,000 violent incidents involving glassware each year, which costs an estimated £100,000,000 in National Health Service, police and court costs year on year.

The designers, Design Bridge, will work on producing a range of safer drinking vessels prototypes, which will be unveiled late this year. The challenge is to not only to make a safer pint glass, but to ensure they are attractive to industry, manufacturers and consumers. Working closely with manufacturers and the licensed trade, Design Bridge will seek to develop a number of options, which could be taken up by end users of the product.

The alternative safety glass idea is part of the “Design Out Crime” initiative from the Home Office’s Design and Technology Alliance Against Crime and the Design Council. The council are a group of experts from the world of design, industry and law enforcement whose task is to bring about change and encourage others to “think crime” at the first stages of product development.

Design Out Crime work on developing solutions to a wide range of crime-related problems, particularly those which affect young people by developing design-led approaches to minimise the harm from alcohol related crime (assaults in pubs and clubs), in Schools (reducing bullying, fighting and petty theft), with new products by developing innovations in technology, services and product design which help make personal electronics more crime-proof and in business by reducing retail theft.

Jeremy Myerson, Helen Hamlyn Professor of Design, Royal College of the Arts and Alliance member said: “Alcohol related crime takes up valuable police and NHS resources and causes unnecessary misery to thousands of people. The outcomes of the Design Out Crime project have the potential to not only reduce alcohol related violence in the UK but to also help make our communities safer places”.

Nick Verebelyi, 3D Branding and Packaging Director, Design Bridge said: “Our challenge is to build upon research the Design Council have established to develop creative solutions that increase safety by reducing the opportunity for the vessel to be used as a weapon, whilst taking account of operational challenges, and providing opportunities for enhanced consumer appeal and brand image”.

Alan Campbell, Home Office Minister said: “Innovative design has played an important role in driving down overall crime by a third since 1997 tackling a range of crimes including theft, fraud and burglary with innovative and practical solutions to real problems. This project will see those same skills applied to the dangerous and costly issue of alcohol-related crime and I am confident that it will lead to similar successes”(1).

Before the next generation pint glass brief was issued, Innovation RCA conducted research to develop insights into the “glassing” problem and to identify solutions in designing safer drinking vessels. The research was used as material in workshops attended by some of the United Kingdoms top designers, scientists, advertisers and industry marketers. These teams met with major brewers, PR agencies, pub chain operators and trade organisations to understand their concerns.

Interviews also took place with law enforcement agencies, plastic surgeons and victims of alcohol related violence, while pub staff and patrons were recorded speaking about their observations of drinking from real pint glasses versus plastic pint glasses.

The information learned into alcohol related violence were complemented by scientific testing of standard polycarbonate beer glasses by the Materials and Design Exchange (MADE).

The results were used to write the brief to the design and technology experts, providing them with the essential background knowledge to develop real innovative solutions to address alcohol related violence in the United Kingdom.

Introduction:

Realtors have a National Code of Ethics. Their professional organizations, local, state and nationally all subscribe to this Code of professional behavior.
Most Realtors follow and adhere to the Code; however, as in any profession there are the few who don’t.
It is these few that give Brokers a public trust rating just above that of used car salesmen.
So what can you, the public, do to insure that you are working with a professional real estate Broker?
Let me share with you Five Red Flags that signal “Look out, danger ahead.”
Don’t even think about working with a Broker who shows any of these five warning signals.

Five Red Flags

Most Brokers are ethical and truly provide professional service, the five red flags presented here refer to the bad apples, not the whole bushel.
These few who engage in practices which may damage the public and discredit their profession are not representative but do exist and you need to protect yourself from them.
The behaviors I’ve described in the five red flags, directly violate the Code of Ethics. These Brokers’ lack of ethical behavior does not connote competency, fairness and high integrity.
No Broker should behave in a manner contrary to their professional Code. No inducement of profit or desire to grab a commission should justify their departure from the Code. The Code of Ethics is based on the golden rule.

Red Flag One:

A Broker shall not disparage other companies. If you hear a Broker saying things like, “well nobody works with that company.” Or “No one will work the flat fee listings.” These comments not only go against the Code of Ethics, but they are also against the Federal Fair Trade and Antitrust laws. This is a violation which is so serious it can warrant loss of license and perhaps jail time.

Red Flag Two:

A Broker tells you he can sell your house for a higher price than the market shows. The Code states that Realtors shall avoid exaggeration and over inflating a sales price just to get your listing. A higher price for your house is music to your ears but do you really want to just sit on the market?
Be cautious of over inflated listing prices. Overpricing does not sell houses and the Broker violates the Code.

Red Flag Three:

A Broker solicits your listing when you are already listed with another broker. The Code specifically forbids a Broker from purposely soliciting your listing when you are listed with another company.
A Broker offers to advertise your property for you, even tho you’re not listed with them. The Code states they may not do so without authority. Authority requires a written contract. Be aware. Be alert. There is no free ride.

Red Flag Four:

A Broker tells you that real estate commissions are a percentage fixed by law. Not true. A commission is determined by what the seller is willing to pay. A Broker may refuse to work for less then six percent; that’s up to them. You are not required to pay any set percentage or fee.
Any attempt of any sort to gain unfair advantage of you or their competitors is a violation of the National code of ethics.

Red Flag Five:

A Broker pressures you to sign the contract immediately not wanting you to have time to think about it.
Brokers spend a lot or time in classes that teach them how to close, how to get your signature. There is nothing wrong with that; however, you do have the right to “sleep on” your decision.
Don’t be bullied into signing before you’re ready.

Summary:

Be alert to these five red flags. If a Broker shows you any of these behaviors, run away, don’t walk, run from any Broker’s you feel are exhibiting these behaviors.
You can help clean up the real estate profession by reporting these violators to the local board of Realtors.
